ud to sponsor the Tyler Gold Run. The Gold Run, a local East Texas event, benefits children that have been diagnosed with cancer in the surrounding areas.
ud to sponsor the Tyler Gold Run. The Gold Run, a local East Texas event, benefits children that have been diagnosed with cancer in the surrounding areas. Last year the race earned almost $30,000 with all proceeds going towards children’s families who have been diagnosed, the development of pediatric oncology presence in East Texas, and cancer research.
“This is the Gold Run’s third year in existence and we could not be more grateful to be apart of something so special,” stated committee member and cancer mom, Kim Merrick. “This event brings a community together with one common goal–to end childhood cancer.”
This year’s race will take place Saturday, September 23rd at Rose Rudman Park, Tyler, TX. There will be three races including a children’s 50-yard dash, a timed 5K run, and a 5K fun run.
