Dr. Andrew Hurst is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. Born and raised in Nacogdoches, Texas, Dr. Hurst is proud to serve the community he loves. After graduating from Nacogdoches High School, he attended Baylor University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. Following Baylor, he completed medical school at the University of Texas in Galveston, where he met his wife, Kristen. He then finished a residency in Orthopedic Surgery at The Oklahoma University Health Sciences Center.

After spending a few years working out of the state, Dr. Hurst and his wife decided to come back to East Texas, where he began his orthopedic practice. In 2021, he began a partnership with Azalea Orthopedics. Additionally in 2021, 2022 and 2023, he has been recognized by Texas Monthly Magazine as a Rising Star.

Dr. Hurst is proud to offer the latest techniques and medical advancements for his patients. Specializing in complex knee and shoulder injuries, Dr. Hurst is experienced in treating both athletes and non-athletes alike. “In many cases, conservative treatment is the best option. I pride myself on providing my patients with as many options and as much information as possible. Then together, we can design the best plan for an optimal recovery.”
