How Long to Wait for Surgery Following a Surgery

Calendar September 20, 2018

Question: I originally was planning on having my knee replaced last February but elected to try Stem Cell Therapy first. Which hasn’t done much for the knee? I’m now wanting to revisit surgery however presently having substantial dental work done with last crowns scheduled for February 2019. Any issues with ongoing dental work if knee surgery could be scheduled for December 2018 or January 2019?

Dr. ForemanThere are definite issues with dental work being done just before or after knee replacement surgery. The risk of infection is unacceptably high. You need to wait for 3 months after dental work to have the knee replaced or delay the dental work for 3 months after the knee replacement.
