Azalea Orthopedics is excited to announce the dates of free Saturday clinics for student athletes in East Texas. This year, these clinics will run from Saturday, August 24 through Saturday, November 16, 2024. Free clinics will be held at the following two locations:
• 3414 Golden Road, Tyler, TX 75701
• 925 W. Loop 281, Longview, TX 75604
These annual clinics are set up specifically for student athletes in order to provide a timely assessment and diagnosis of possible injuries following a sporting event. Typically, these clinics are attended by football players, but volleyball players are also welcome to seek help if needed. Clinic hours are from 10AM – Noon so that athletics can have their injury quickly assessed following Friday night sporting events.
If the athletic training staff feel that the injury needs further diagnosis, such as imaging, they will collaborate with staff to facilitate scheduling appointments in a timely manner. They will also work with the student’s school, parents and hospital business office to coordinate insurance coverage and any needed authorization. In addition, Athletic Trainers will communicate, when needed, with treating physician offices to coordinate care, follow-up, and return to sport clearances. Our goal is to ensure injuries are quickly assessed, treated and that the athlete is able to return to competition when cleared by a physician.
