At Azalea Orthopedics we’re dedicated to offering patients exceptional health care and customer service, so we routinely embrace and implement technologies that benefit our patients. Most recently, we’ve launched a new platform on our website that allows patients to schedule their own appointments based on specific criteria.
First, let’s review where to find the self-scheduling options on our website, and then we’ll discuss the particulars.
Scheduling made easy
When visiting our website, the first option for scheduling is a large blue button located at the top right side of the home page.
As a second option, if you have a specific provider in mind, you can visit their individual bio page on our website by clicking on Providers along the top menu bar on our website, and then scrolling down to find the provider you’re interested in seeing. For the providers offering the self-scheduling option, you will find the Schedule An Appointment button on their individual page as shown in the illustration below. Important note: The self-scheduling option does not include our Pain Management and Spine Care providers.
When clicking on either of these buttons, they will initially direct you to an opening screen asking you to identify your patient type. There are two types of patients who can use this platform: New Patient and Existing Patient (New to Doctor – see below).
New Patient – These are patients who have never seen a provider at Azalea Orthopedics, so it is a first-time visit.
Existing Patient – These are existing patients who are seeing a second Azalea doctor for the first time. As an example, if you have established care and seen one of our hand doctors, but then need to see one of our shoulder doctors, you would be considered an Existing Patient – New to Doctor. This existing patient option currently doesn’t include scheduling return or follow-up visits with your long-term Azalea provider. Scheduling benefits
There are several benefits to using our self-scheduling platform including:
– The platform is secure and dedicated to protecting your privacy.
– Patients can schedule at their convenience – 7 days a week, 24 hours a day – outside of office hours if needed.
– Most Azalea providers have a self-scheduling option (with the exceptions previously stated), giving new patients access to Doctors, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.
