Brendan Langford, MD, is a Fellowship-Trained Interventional Pain Management Physician at Azalea Orthopedics. He is a board-certified anesthesiologist through the American Board of Anesthesiology.

Dr. Langford grew up in San Antonio, TX and attended Central Catholic High School. He completed his undergraduate studies at Drury University in Springfield, MO where he double majored in biology and chemistry. He was a four-year starter on the men’s soccer team at Drury University. He graduated top of his class with Summa Cum Laude Honors and a 4.0 GPA. Due to his achievements on the soccer field and in the classroom, Dr. Langford received a NCAA post-graduate scholarship to attend medical school.

Dr. Langford earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas School of Medicine San Antonio. There he was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and graduated in the top 10% of his medical school class. Following graduation, he went on to train at the world-famous Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN where he completed an internship in internal medicine and a residency in anesthesiology. During residency he received the Mayo Clinic Anesthesiology Distinguished Resident Award. He then went on to complete his Pain Medicine Fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. After fellowship, Dr. Langford accepted a senior associate consultant position at the Mayo Clinic with the academic rank of assistant professor.

Throughout his education and training, Dr. Langford received numerous academic honors, scholarships, and awards. He has authored/co-authored 17 peer reviewed medical journal papers and his work has been cited over 180 times. He has presented at regional and national anesthesia, pain medicine, and other scientific conferences across the country.

In his free time, Dr. Langford enjoys traveling with his wife, watching sports, and staying active.

Dr. Langford specializes in: neuromodulation, spinal cord stimulation, peripheral nerve stimulation, basivertebral nerve ablation, kyphoplasty, radiofrequency ablation, treating complex regional pain syndrome, diagnosing and treating spine conditions, and diagnosing and treating neuropathy.
