Jason Johnson is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner working with Dr. Patrick Wupperman as part of his orthopedic medical team. Jason earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, and his Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Texas at Tyler. Jason is also certified as a Registered Nurse First Assistant.

Jason has over two decades of surgical and clinical experience with an emphasis in the field of orthopedics. He cares for patients with general orthopedic concerns, traumatic injuries and subspecializes in injuries to the shoulder and knee. His philosophy of care is focused on optimal outcomes for his patients. Jason enjoys interacting with his patients and their families, clearly explaining the injury, treatment plan, and recovery process. He also places emphasis on the overall health and wellness of the patient and includes family members and care providers as an integral part of the process.

Outside of work, Jason enjoys spending time with family, outdoor activities, woodworking and construction, exercise, and bible study fellowship.
